This is the main focus of my series about injustice. The injustice I chose was how as technology advances it seems to take over our lives. This piece includes both the quote where the idea came from and a common example of what technology can do to us. The quote is from the band Rise Against. To me it puts bluntly how we aren't truly living when we spend our whole day staring at a screen. The image of the kids transfixed on the tv is an example I think most people can relate to. Have you ever seen children watching tv? Yeah, pretty much horrifying. They just sit there like zombies totally absorbed in the tv, oblivious to everything. I can pretty much see them turning into a pile of mush right before my eyes. (Idea for another piece?)
